A singular presence in the ballet world, Dance Theatre of Harlem presents a powerful vision for ballet in the 21st century. This multiethnic company performs a forward-thinking repertoire that includes treasured classics, neoclassical works by George Balanchine and artistic director Robert Garland, as well as innovative contemporary works that use the language of ballet to celebrate founder Arthur Mitchell’s belief that ballet belongs to everyone.
Hosted by the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber of Commerce and the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series, the Cuyuna Crusher is an experience like none other! The Crusher takes place in the Mahnomen Unit of the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area where mountain bikers of all ages and skill levels along with their loved ones will join us for the 9th Annual Cuyuna Crusher held in August (date is soon to be announced). One Night Stand is a group of musicians that perform widely in the lakes area. They craft their own wonderful and unique arrangements of well known songs from a catalog of Rock, Blues, Jazz and Gospel tunes.
Stop by to explore the Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post during our annual Open House! The historic site is open for special Sunday hours and is free for everyone, all day! Visit the exhibits, including the popular Four Seasons Room with life-size dioramas. Then, head next door to shop for American Indian arts and crafts at the Trading Post. The site will be open from 10 am-5 pm.
