The Dr. Harold C. Deutsch World War II History Round Table: Build 'Em by the Mile, Cut 'Em off by the Yard

Join Steve Gilford, author of Build 'Em by the Mile, Cut 'Em off by the Yard: How Henry J. Kaiser and the Rosies Helped Win World War, for a talk focused on how Henry Kaiser converted his construction company into a ship building giant to provide the Liberty Ships that were needed to move the materials of war from the U.S. to the theaters of war. The talk will also spotlight the role of the Cargill shipbuilding operation.

Whiskey-soaked Minneapolis-based folk-punk-ers St. George’s Folly might not be the best and brightest, but as their tenth annual “Donnybrook” St. Patrick’s Day bash approaches the proof is in the pudding: if you commit hard enough to singing rowdy songs about pirates and drinking and industrial accidents, everything will just sort of work out.

It's BACK! Our annual Bonspiel weekend is set for January 30, 31 and February 1, and this year we're jumping back into time with a special 80's Apres Ski theme! For those unfamiliar with our Bonspiel weekend...first things first, Bonspiel means curling tournament! And beyond that, we offer activities throughout the weekend to make the most of a Minnesota winter!
