A POTTER NEEDS A PLACE…

Tom and Jeff chose to locate the pottery on the scenic grounds of the farm that has been in their mother’s family now for over a century. After they became skilled in the art of pottery, they recruited their father, Jerry, a bricklayer, to build the four-chambered 30 foot wood-fired climbing kiln in the east yard of their Uncle Ferman’s farm. They also renovated the old hen house into a pottery studio and showroom.

Vaaler Galerie

The Alliance Française invites you to visit our Vaaler Galerie, a new home for local artists to display their work. We host month-long art exhibitions in this space that is open to the public. Come down to our building to enjoy these chef-d’œuvres!

Beer Here!

Hear the backstory of how Germany’s most pedestrian beverage became an economic force in the saintly city nearly a decade before Minnesota reached statehood.

Join "Frau Gerhard” as she wends her way through the streets of St. Paul and taps the keg on a host of stories and lore including everything from beer gardens and beer caves to kidnappings and kit bars. It’s a recipe for a refreshing and informative afternoon on the history of Beer Here (or as they say auf Deutsch, “Bier Hier”)!

All Hallows’ Eve Event

Join Sister Celeste as she shares the history of Hallows Tide and tells tales of otherworldly behavior surrounding the dearly (and not so nearly) departed on site, in the neighborhood and beyond! Held on site at the Hotel Celeste in the Chapel Dining Hall. Includes stories and music that will have you reaching for your glow-in the-dark rosary!

Event includes a select beverage and a chance to win your very own glow-in the-dark rosary!
