Ottertail Polar Plunge

The Ottertail Plunge has raised over $333,939 in its 4-year history. In 2023, 164 Plungers raised $76,924!
Plunge timeslots open approximately three days before the in-person Plunge date. Any teams/individual participants not signed up by noon on the Friday before the Plunge will be automatically assigned a timeslot.
A shuttle will be available from 10:45 AM through the end of the Plunge. Shuttle buses are free to all participants and spectators. The bus will run approximately every 15 minutes from The Otter to the Plunge site and back.

FEAST! Local Foods Marketplace

This annual festival for all ages lets you savor the taste of the region! Peruse hundreds of locally-grown, locally-made foods from IA, WI & MN to sip, sample, shop, and stock up—cheese, chocolate, wine, beer, cider, spirits & much more—make great gifts for the holidays! Make a day of it with your choice of five cooking demos, kids’ activities, and prizes. Show your love for local!

Fat Vasa

There will be three distances: approximately 12.5 km, 25 km, or 37.5 km.

The exact start times and race format are yet to be determined.

Family Art Day

This is an interactive art adventure for all ages. The goal of the art day is to celebrate the arts through fun family art activities.. Attendees will be able to move from one activity to another. Most could complete many art pieces and processes in the course of the day and could have numerous pieces in process at one time.

Fall Craft Show

Over 100 vendors to shop from for all you holiday shopping needs. We will have lots of decor and gifts to choose from along with clothing and baked goods. Come on out to the Red Baron Arena and Expo on October 11th 2025 from 9-3. Free will donation at the door goes to the Marshall HS Girls Hockey program. Come on out and support local.

Fairmont Glows Parade

On Friday, November 21nd at just after 4:00PM, Santa and Mrs. Claus will fly directly into the Fairmont Municipal Airport via the North Pole Express. Bring the whole family to witness their arrival and have a chance to meet them!

Absolutely Elvis! Presented by Todd Anderson

Steve Marcio has won several awards including 1st place in the "Contest of the Kings: at the Mall of America in 2007. He was the winner or the "Ultimate Elvis Contest" in Branson Missouri and many more awards. A show you can't miss.

The world premiere stage adaptation of Prince’s legendary film and album, Purple Rain is based on the original screenplay by Albert Magnoli and William Blinn, and features a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, music and lyrics by Prince and direction by Tony Award-nominee Lileana Blain-Cruz.

Dodge County Free Fair

For 165 years the Dodge County Free Fair has been bringing education, entertainment, and food to all who attend. Come visit the 4-H, FFA, and Open Class Exhibits, enjoy all of our different food and commercial vendors, and witness the array of music entertainment and Grandstand events. All is a must see!

Deck the Halls

Start the day with a free holiday movie for the kids at 9 a.m.
Enjoy finding unique Christmas gifts while enjoying special music and holiday treats at the retail shoppes. Bring the kids at 3:00 for a horse drawn wagon ride and to see Santa arrive by firetruck! Enjoy a warm fire, cocoa and cookies! The mayor lights the Christmas tree at 5 p.m. to culminate the event!
