The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra: Haydn’s "Fire" Symphony

In another strand of the temporal theme woven throughout the 2024.25
season, SPCO violinist Nina Tso-Ning Fan lights a fire in January, leading the
orchestra in Winter from Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Works by
Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel and Max Richter from the 19th and 21st centuries offer
additional interpretations on the passage of time, driving toward the titular
centerpiece of this program — Franz Joseph Haydn’s spirited Fire
Symphony.

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra: Bruch and Korngold with Tabea Zimmermann

Artistic Partner Tabea Zimmermann teams up with Principal Clarinet Sang

his son, clarinetist Max Felix Bruch, Max Bruch’s Double Concerto promises to
grip and transfix audiences alongside smaller symphonic works by Germanic
composers.
