Annual Perham Pioneer Fest come and check it out! Witness what life was like back in the old days when the world was a slower-moving, simpler place. See displays such as: Antique Tractor Pulls, Sawmill, Shingle Mill, Threshing, Gas engines, Car Show, sale vendors, and many more displays. Come and see the International Harvester TD24 Army surplus Crawler "Harold" that was rescued from a swamp by Island Lake in Becker County, MN. This year, we are featuring our home community of Perham, MN. Established in 1871, Perham has supported Pioneer Fest since its beginning.

East Otter Tail County Breakfast on the Farm

East Otter Tail County Breakfast on the Farm will be August 14th! The purpose of Breakfast on the Farm is to bring together consumers with the families that produce their food. This event gives you a chance to ask questions about how their food is grown or to just simply visit over a cup of coffee. In addition to the breakfast there will be education booths set up around the farm.

Black Powder Rendezvous

Step back in time with the Lake Country Mountaineers Black Powder Club on August 21-22, 2021 for their Rendezvous at the Pioneer Village grounds in Perham MN. Find yourself among the encampments and clothing from the past. Cooking with cast iron over open fire. Watch friendly competitions of Hawk & Knife, Primitive Archery and shooting Black Powder Rifles.

Purgatory Creek Park

Purgatory Creek Park offers families the opportunity to bike or hike a paved loop trail that meanders through gardens and wetlands. The park also offers space to picnic, and restrooms are available for visitor use.  While visiting, families may want to seek out the beautiful Veterans Memorial and enjoy the large fountain, both of which are permanent fixtures of the park. Purgatory Creek has also participated in Eden Prairie's rotating art program, intended to foster an appreciation of public art and add to the beauty of the space with temporary sculpture installations.

West Concord Historical Society

The WCHS museum is located in for former West Concord School. The original building was constructed for the village elementary and high school students in 1902 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 19, 2021. The museum highlights the history of the area from the mid-1800’s through the 1960’s in multiple rooms that house artifacts, literature and other records documenting changes in the ways of farming, shopping, housekeeping, entertainment, transportation, fashion and communication.
