Growing up as a kid in Alaska, my dad developed a passion for sailing. As it turns out, he named his very first boat, “Flapdoodle”. So on one level, naming the store after his first sailboat serves not only as a reminder of all the happy family memories I experienced on the boat, but also a tribute to my dad and the profound influence he had on my life. Truth be told, it was my dad who instilled in me, among other fine qualities, a deep affection for ice cream.
