Tympanuchus Wildlife Management Area

The tallgrass prairie and wet meadow of the Tympanuchus WMA offers great opportunity to view a variety of prairie birds including the Greater Prairie Chicken, Sharp-tailed Grouse, Upland Sandpiper, Marbled Godwit, Northern Harrier, Short-eared Owl, Bobolink, Western Meadowlark, and various prairie sparrows. Songbirds such as the Yellow Warbler and Common Yellowthroat use the larger brush/asen thickets found along intermittent streams.
