Water | Craft explores the intersection of traditional craft practices and contemporary concerns about water and the environment. This exhibition brings together artists whose practices incorporate historical craft techniques of weaving, pottery, basketry, glass, and textile arts – and who transform these techniques to address issues including water access, climate change, and cultural preservation.
Robert Gonzalez is an artist and musician from San Antonio, TX, whose recent work depicts the role of water in pre-Columbian Mexican mythology and religions. His imagery is based on historical research, Mayan iconography, archaeology, as well as dream based imagery and the writings of philosopher Carl G. Jung, to imagine the past lives of his ancestors.
Splish, Splash, Story: Selections from The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art brings together enchanting illustrations from beloved children’s books, on loan from The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, MA. Spanning more than a century, this exhibition celebrates the power of water as both subject and symbol in picture book illustration. From serene ponds and playful rain showers to roaring oceans and imaginative underwater worlds, the featured works showcase how artists have used water to inspire curiosity, joy, and wonder in young readers.

However, despite the often-treacherous terrain of the music industry, James has never tired in her quest. There, she has tussled with unimaginative label executives, covered and owned Beatles songs, and cast a woman as Jesus. Through it all, James has carved out an enviable career, always on her own terms.
Dr. Mark Warner will be presenting a special program for the next Mayo Clinic Lecture Series that includes a film showing of "An Adventure in Medicine: The Story of the Mayo Brothers". The film is followed by a dedicated time for discussion on the foundational principle of the Mayo Clinic, "the needs of the patient come first".
