Singer/pianist Andrew Walesch encapsulates the sophistication of a cosmopolite and the self-effacing charm of a country boy, like many before him. Leading his all-star big band, showman Walesch kidnaps the Blue Eyes tradition and makes it his own. With this ten-piece band, Walesch embodies both a traditionalist and an iconoclast with his jazz-bent Sinatra revue.

Whether you’re here for the Purple Rain Broadway preview or a visit in the Minneapolis area, this tour connects the dots of a music legacy that still inspires fans everywhere.

Along the way, your guide will share rarely-heard stories about the music scene that created the Minneapolis Sound—and the movement that reshaped music forever.

Painting Class with Leaf River Pottery

Join us in painting fall pottery as you create your hand-painted pottery masterpiece. We will provide a variety of pottery shapes to choose from, along with all the paints, brushes and tools that you will need. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a first-time painter, our team will be on hand to guide and inspire. All pottery will be fired offsite and returned to the Arboretum the following week.

$10 per person to register for the class.

There is an additional fee for each piece you choose to paint. Multiple pieces will be available for kids and adults.

Water Connects Us - Minnesota Weatherguide 50th Anniversary

For this year's annual Water Connects Us fundraising event, Freshwater is thrilled to present the Minnesota Weatherguide 50th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, October 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CLA Connection Center in Eagan! Join Freshwater and KARE 11 Chief Meteorologist Belinda Jensen as we recognize key Weatherguide contributors and partners while enjoying an inside look at how Minnesota's favorite calendar and almanac has evolved and flourished over the past half-century.

Waldmann's 8th Anniversary Oktoberfest

Waldmann's 8th Anniversary Oktoberfest features 28 musical performances, the award-winning S.G. Edelweiss German dancers, games, magic, contests, festival food and of course Waldmann's great Oktoberfest beers--all under a big tent over St. Paul's most historic biergarten.
