Affiliate Welcome Centers
The Explore Minnesota Affiliate Welcome Center Program expands statewide visitor services by connecting travelers with local expertise. While Explore Minnesota operates state welcome centers at major entry points, the Affiliate network partners with local tourism organizations to deliver a consistent, high-quality visitor experience across the state.
The program is open to any tourism-related community, attraction or business that is open to the traveling public and has a dedicated welcome center or visitor services area.
Program Details
Program term: January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027.
Partnership model: Service exchange only ($1,000 estimated annual in-kind value; no cash exchange).
Explore Minnesota provides:
- Free bulk publications: Up to 250 State Travel Guides and 200 State Highway Maps (additional copies available upon request)
- Official 2027 Affiliate Welcome Center window cling and sticker
- Listing on exploreminnesota.com and select state publications
Affiliate agrees to:
- Prominently display and distribute travel guides and highway maps for in-person visitors (maps cannot be mailed).
- Display the official Affiliate window cling or sticker in a high-visibility public area.
