Wings Over America: A Tribute to Paul McCartney and Wings

These nine musicians from the St. Cloud area have been making music together for over 20 years. Wings Over America is primarily composed of members of the Collective Unconscious, a St. Cloud band who brought you The Beatles’ Abbey Road, The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds, Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water, CSNY’s Deja Vu and The Band’s The Last Waltz.

Viano String Quartet

Praised for their “huge range of dynamics, massive sound and spontaneity” (American Record Guide), the Viano String Quartet are First Prize winners of the 2019 Banff International String Quartet Competition. Formed in 2015 at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, where they were Ensemble-in-Residence through the 2020-21 season, the quartet has performed in venues such as Wigmore Hall, Place Flagey, Konzerthaus Berlin, and Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

Tonic Sol-fa

TEDXSTCLOUD

TEDxStCloud celebrates curiosity. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxStCloud, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxStCloud event, speakers will spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized by an all-volunteer team.

Minnesota Children's Book Festival

The Anderson Center at Tower View is pleased to present the 23rd annual Minnesota Children's Book Festival on Saturday, September 17, 2022, featuring presentations of new books by award-winning children's & young adult authors and illustrators: John Coy, Erin Soderberg Downing, Anika Fajardo, Shannon Gibney, Phyllis Root, Sun Yung Shin, Lauren Stringer, Stephen Shaskan and Diane Wilson. Taking place at the Anderson Center’s beautiful, historic Tower View campus, the Children's Book Festival is an ideal opportunity for families to connect, learn and play.

The Killer Vees presents Remembering Bobby Vee

The Killer Vees, featuring Jeff, Tommy, Matt and Bennett Vee along with Ar J Stevens and George Maurer will reunite one last time to say goodbye to their father, uncle, friend, mentor and band leader Bobby Vee. Complete with Bobby’s touring string section and cast members from Teen Idol: The Bobby Vee Story helping out on background vocals. “This is not a show we ever wanted to do,” said Tommy Vee. “We only plan on doing this in a handful of venues. My Dad loved his Midwest roots. This is where it all started for him and the fans meant the world to him so this feels important to us.

International Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles

Teenager Carlo Acutis created a website documenting Eucharistic miracles from around the world until his death at 15. A photographic exhibit of his work now travels the world and will be on display at the Church of St. Peter in North St. Paul. The exhibit’s beautiful panels document each Eucharistic Miracle with photos, illustrations, and background information on where they took place, witnesses to the miracle, and the lasting influence of the miracles on the people and places they occurred.

Glenn Miller Orchestra

The most popular and sought-after big band in the world today for both concert and swing dance engagements. With its unique jazz sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time. The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring worldwide ever since.
