If not for the Mighty Mississippi, St Cloud might not be the city it is today. Our community was built on the river - a center for transportation and recreation. It is because of this connection to a waterway that has changed so many fortunes and is held in such high regard, that we suggest honoring the Mississippi in the Convention Center's name. We are located on the river's edge - in, quite literally, the place St Cloud was born - and it is here that we've grown.
The band performs at special events such as the Memorial Day program at the VA Medical Center and the 4th of July Fireworks at Hester Park. Recently the band has taken on a new initiative to perform in area schools to promote the life-long enjoyment of music making.

Square Lake has some of the clearest waters in Minnesota, and draws SCUBA divers from throughout the metropolitan region. There is a beautiful 950 foot sand beach, changing rooms, restrooms, picnic tables and grills. The park is also located along a County bike route. The lake features outstanding fishing, including trout, which can be accessed by using the fishing pier or boat launch. The parking lot is also cleared in the winter for ice fishing access.
