Oberg and Leveaux Mountains Trails

Two trails from same parking area: Oberg Trail, 3 miles, leads to top of Oberg Mountain; Leveaux Trail, 3.3 miles, leads to Leveaux Mountain. Both begin with moderately climbing switchbacks leading to an easy, circular loop at top of each mountain. Oberg rises 1,000 feet above Lake Superior. 9 scenic overlooks. Especially beautiful in fall. Rock cliffs & ledges; watch children closely! Leveaux offers similar views, is less used. Maps available from Superior National Forest.

Public course (par 72) 18 holes. Women's regular tees: 71.8/116 5742 yds; men's regular tees: 68.2/113 6045 yds; men's championship tees: 69.3/114 6404 yds.

Oakenwald Terrace B&B

This pristine 1897 home has thrilled those who have toured her for many years. The three story, twenty-one room Victorian mansion encompasses 10,000+ square feet and is overflowing with antiques and collectibles. Oakenwald is a museum of sorts, so allow time to explore and feast your eyes on the wonderful woodwork and evident craftsmanship. Oakenwald Terrace is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
All six suites are large, comfortable and have their own private bath.

Oakdale Golf Club

Oakdale Discovery Center and Nature Preserve

The Oakdale Discovery Center is located within picturesque Oakdale Nature Preserve. The Discovery Center houses the Oakdale Parks and Recreation, offers a nature exhibit room with a variety of taxidermy displays, event facilities and an intimate art gallery featuring a new, local artist each month. Snowshoe rentals available in season- weekends only. Try out our tandem bikes, GPS system for Geocaching, or adventure backpacks free of charge.
