From 1865-1930, formerly enslaved Texans founded 557+ freedom colonies, which are now absent from official maps, have lost population, and their building conditions have declined since the Great Migration. Dr. Andrea Roberts will discuss the contemporary status of these Black communities, diasporic identity, co-curation activities, and research findings associated with The Texas Freedom Colonies Atlas.
The 2023 NCHC Tournament will once again consist of four quarterfinal series on the first weekend following regular-season play (March 10-12, 2023), followed by the Frozen Faceoff on March 17-18, 2023 at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minn.

Matthew Ward, will be coming to the Heart fo the City Music Factory for 2 nights!

Matthew has a rich musical legacy spanning over 40 years, recording 9 solo albums including two number one hits ‘To The King’ and ‘I Will Worship You’. He has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and is a Dove Award recipient.
Tickets are $40.00 in advance and $45.00 at the door. Seating is general admission. Doors open at 7:30 PM. There will be concessions and snacks for sale.
