The Black Jacket Symphony will perform a setlist packed with the smoothest yacht rock hits from Kenny Loggins, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, and more — all played with precision and style.

Pelican Lake Bass Fishing Tournament

For the third year in a row, we will be hosting a bass fishing tourney on Pelican Lake in Orr, MN in September. Same prizes, same good times, more memories created. If you missed it last year, now is a good time to reserve your resort stay for this coming fall tourney from Sept 1-30, 2025 and ensure your entry. Participants will have a chance to win prizes of up to $1000 in cash for the biggest bass. In addition to cash prizes for the two biggest bass, we will randomly select 5 winners to receive $100 cash for any bass caught over 16 inches.

Join Elk River author Ben Sobieck for a fun outdoor survival event, perfect for all ages. Drop in any time between noon and 2 pm to hear about survival tips, take a survival quiz, and get a FREE survival whistle. Ben is the author of "Outdoor Survival: A Guide to Staying Safe Outside," from Minnesota publisher AdventureKEEN. He's a former editor of the award-winning preparedness magazine "Living Ready," and has edited many bestselling survival books.

During this time we will be giving away packaged foods, school supplies, hygiene products, utensils, and more. This event is absolutely FREE (while supplies last)! Our goal is to give back to our community and also evangelize and pray with anyone in need. We would love for you to stop by. Please note items will be given on a first come first serve basis.

Corks for a Cause

Get your ticket to the 3rd annual Corks for a Cause on Sat., August 16, 5-9 pm, a lively, heartfelt evening of food from local restaurants, wine from 13 wineries across Minnesota and Wisconsin, fundraising, live music and community at Everly Farms orchard in Minnetrista, all benefiting Crescent Cove pediatric hospice and respite care home. Crescent Cove is a vibrant home away from home and the only pediatric hospice of its kind in Minnesota providing round-the-clock care to children and young adults ages 0-21 with shortened life expectancies - at no out of pocket cost to families.

Campfire Concert Series: James "Mudcat" Grant

Back on the Community Garden Stage, Mudkat never disappoints. Muddy and his band mates will throw down as always.James “Mudkat” Grant began listening to rock n roll, classical, and country music at an early age. He joined his first band in high school after seeing the Beatles on TV, extending it through college years playing hundreds and hundreds of gigs. Having the opportunity to open for the Flying Burrito Brothers in May, 1970, changed their repertoire and musical direction.
