Kaiser and the Rosies Helped Win World War, for a talk focused on how Henry Kaiser converted his construction company into a ship building giant to provide the Liberty Ships that were needed to move the materials of war from the U.S. to the theaters of war. The annual Laskiainen Finnish Sliding Festival returns on the first weekend of February with an ice sliding hill, Finnish baked goods, saunas, and more!

The festival is a Finnish tradition that has been taking place in Palo on the Iron Range for over eighty years. The ice slide jettisons event goers onto the frozen surface of Loon Lake. Sleds are available for attendees at no charge.

Doxie Dash at St. Cloud Norsemen Hockey Game Benefiting Ruff Start Rescue

Get ready for a fun-filled evening at the St. Cloud Norsemen hockey game on Friday, January 16th, as they take on the Watertown Shamrocks. The game starts at 7 pm. Admission tickets are available at the door. Visit the Ruff Start Rescue booth to learn about adopting, volunteering, and fostering. Animal Rescue Night- Minnesota Squatch Hockey Fundraiser & Donation Drive

Grab your friends, family, and fellow animal lovers, and head over to the Furniture and Things Community Event Center for a night of hockey, community, and compassion. We will collect pet supplies, food, and monetary donations to support animals at Ruff Start Rescue from 6:30-8:30 pm. The Minnesota Squatch will take on the Steele County Blades at 7:15 pm. Season tickets and single-game tickets are available at the game. Admission: $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, students, & military.
