This entertaining "tour with a twist" proves crime during the Saint Paul Gangster Era wasn’t just for men...by shining a spotlight on the gals that made things happen...good and bad! Learn about "The Kissing Bandit," one of Saint Paul's most powerful business owners, the woman who brought down John Dillinger...and many others! Tour is on an enclosed trolley. 2-hours. The tours ends with a 2-for-1 beer pass at Saint Paul Brewing in the historic Hamm's site.

Spirits of the Mississippi River Cruise

All aboard the Magnolia Blossom Riverboat for amazing ghost stories on the Mississippi River! The CynCity crew shares mysterious tales along the Great River waterway which flows between Saint Paul's expansive shoreline. Author and explorer Greg Brick joins in with stories about caves and eerie passageways as we head to the city's famed Lower Landing and back! 2-hours. Cash Bar. Reservations only. 

Old-Fashioned Pie & Ice Cream Social

The annual Old-Fashioned Pie and Ice Cream Social is held at the Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center campus.

As always, there will be lots of locally homemade pies to choose from. There is a suggested donation per slice of pie, ice cream, and beverage.

Nnenna Freelon

Vocalist Nnenna Freelon is a seven-time Grammy nominee and multiple award-winning artist. Freelon has earned a well-deserved reputation as a compelling and captivating live performer.

Nnenna is also a wife, mother, and sister who has experienced life’s amazing gifts, and also its heartbreak. She lost her soulmate and husband, renowned architect Phil Freelon, to ALS in 2019. Then, she lost her sister Debbie to cancer in 2020. Here, these tragedies have reshaped her way of being in the world.

Mark O'Connor's Appalachian Christmas

Three-time Grammy winning composer and fiddler Mark O’Connor has created several arrangements of Christmas classics. Here, he fashions a wondrous mixture of both instrumental and vocal music in bluegrass and other American music genres. The show features fresh takes on traditional songs with a few original compositions included. His renditions are playful and joyous, but can be strikingly earnest too. Mark’s touring ensemble includes his wife Maggie O’Connor on fiddle and vocals.
