Nihon Teien Matsuri--Japanese Garden Festival

The Normandale Japanese Garden Festival will take place on Saturday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The festival will feature traditional food, flute and drum demonstrations, Garden Tours, sword demonstrations, koi feedings, Origami and Ikebana demonstrations, kids activities, Japanese martial arts, boutique shopping and more.

New York Mills Lund Mania

This premier event is a collaboration between NYM’s largest employer, Brunswick (maker of Lund Boats), the NYM Civic & Commerce Association, and the Cultural Center. Highly coveted Lund Mania fishing tournament spots are filled quickly by those hoping for Lund Boat prize packages! Visit Main Avenue during the day to witness artists painting fish houses & more on the street, and cool off in the Cultural Center Gallery while viewing the annual Decoy Show. The celebration continues into the evening with food, music, a parade and fun!

This free community event is typically held the Saturday of Easter weekend. The New York Mills Civic & Commerce sponsors this annual event and partners with the local National Honor Society to make it all come to life. Meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs and register for prizes!
