The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra: Roman Rabinovich Plays Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20

“Spellbinding” (Calgary Herald) pianist Roman Rabinovich plucks
at emotions just beneath the surface in his SPCO debut. Set to
the surrealist poetry of Max Jacob, Francis Poulenc’s chamber cantata Le bal masqué (The Masked Ball)
offers a fantastical escape from reality alongside Igor Stravinsky’s lively Basel
Concerto for String Orchestra. Works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart frame the
concert, including his popular Piano Concerto in D Minor.
