Blaine Festival

Join us for the 2021 Blaine Festival kicking off Friday, June 25th at Aquatore Park in Blaine with a Flag Raising Ceremony at 5:00 p.m. Check out the Jell-o Derby under the West Pavilion, Coconut Kevin's Beach Party at 7:00 p.m. on the Magician's Stage and under the Big Top - The Johnny Holm Band is on stage at 8:00 p.m. Fun for the whole family all weekend long. Saturday, June 26th the Blaine Festival opens at 10:00 a.m. with Vendor Village, WM Purdy Carnival, Refreshment Garden, Petting Zoo, Magician and much more!

Black Powder Rendezvous/Pioneer Days

The 40th Annual Lakes Country Mountaineers Black Powder Rendezvous features hawk and knife throwing, a primitive shoot (including peep site shoot and shot gun shoot), primitive bow, ladies' games like frying pan toss, encampments, demonstrations and more. The Lakes Country Mountaineer’s Black Powder Rendezvous is held at the same time as the annual Pioneer Fest, on the Pioneer Village grounds. Come for the rendezvous and enjoy the festival as well.

Black Comedy

Struggling artist Brindsley Miller and his fiance Carol are preparing a party to impress both her bombastic father and a millionaire patron of the arts. But, just as they’re ready, the main fuse blows, plunging the flat into darkness. Guests and other visitors arrive but, with no flashlights, candles or lighters, the characters fumble about, slamming into hot radiators, sharp furniture, and each other in this classic one-act comedy by Peter Shaffer (Equus, Amadeus).

BK 5K Road Race

The BK 5K, 5 kilometer road race and walk is intended to provide a competitive road race for athletes of all abilities who desire to challenge themselves to pursue their best effort.

Bird Walk

Join us for a bird walk along the Platte River Trail during the spring migration. Bring your walking shoes and favorite field guide!
Binoculars provided.

Bird Tour

A variety of spring species can be expected on this hike, along with raptors, waterfowl, and shorebirds. Binoculars are available to borrow. Meet your guide at the Mahnomen Trail on May 9th and the Blue Hill Trail on May 16th.

Bird Tour

A variety of fall migrants can be expected on this hike, along with raptors, waterfowl, and shorebirds. Binoculars are available to borrow. Meet your guide at the Mahnomen Trail on August 22nd and at the Blue Hill Trail on August 29th.
