Burnsville, a city that truly values & celebrates cultural diversity! Join us for International Festival of Burnsville in Burnsville’s Nicollet Commons Park. During this six-hour event guests peruse food & vendor tents, and admire cultural displays. Dancers, musicians, and other entertainers exhibit our city’s diverse population and traditions.
The workshop is adapted for the student experienced in painting with soft pastels. However, it is not necessary to be an "accomplished" pastelis, nor a landscape painter.
The class will cover the basic fundamentals of landscape painting as well as pastel techniques used to create vibrant and painterly works of art.
The two class themes will be:
- A new way of seeing . . .painting shapes and values rather than things and
- Learning helpful methods of creating successful landscape compositions.

Explore the history of freedom in 19th-century America with a day of activities for all ages. Discover the way many Americans celebrated the holiday nearly two centuries ago, complete with cannon and musket salutes, military dress parades, fife and drum music, and much more.
