Originally known as the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival, the Prior Lake Rotary Club’s Lakefront Music Fest was established in 2010 and has grown into one of the largest outdoor music festivals in the metro area of the Twin Cities. In 2012, the Rotary Club expanded the festival to two nights of music: one night devoted to country; the other to classic rock. Since then, the Lakefront Music Fest has seen its popularity and attendance steadily increase each year. Last year, more than 20,000 attended the two-day Fest.
Lakefest on the 4th of July is an annual family event, celebrated in the perfect small town atmosphere of Clear Lake in Waseca. The day begins with the Lakefest Freedom Run followed by other day long activities in Clear Lake Park.

START: 7:00 a.m. at the Holdingford High School. Runners will head west from the Holdingford High School for one mile and join the Lake Wobegon Trail 3/4 mile north of the Holdingford Trail Facility. Runners will run through the towns of Holdingford, Albany, Avon, and St. Joseph. The race finishes at the Trail Facility in St. Joseph.
The Lake Wobegon Brass Band was originated by three founding members at the Anoka Coffee Shop on a Saturday morning in early 1992. Two of them had attended the 1991 North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) National Contest in Iowa and returned inspired to turn their dream of a Brass Band "right here in River City" into reality.
The Lake Waconia Band Festival is held each year on the third Saturday of June. This "bands only" parade competition is a highlight of the summer marching season in central Minnesota. The parade beginning at 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2020. The Festival is celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year.
The Lake Region Run is a 10-mile, 10-mile relay, 5K, 1-mile, and Combo (5k & 1-mile) event. All finishers receive a finisher medal. The 10-mile, relay, and 5k finishers receive a custom medal. All 10-mile and relay runners will get a pair of bib magnets. Proceeds from this event go to the Lake Region Healthcare Cancer Care & Research Center.
The Lake of the Woods County Fair is a family-friendly event with something for everyone. From the kiddie rides to the live music, there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
