Hackensack Chainsaw Event 2026

Hackensack Chainsaw Event is the last weekend in September, the event brings in 12 carvers from all over the U.S.! On Friday, we host local students for a special educational day. The All-American Lumberjack Show brings additional energy to the event with log boom racing, log rolling, and x-cut sawing. Auctions are held on Saturday and Sunday afternoon along with the raffle drawing for cash prizes. Throughout the event there is a craft show and food trucks on-site. There is a fee to enter the gates.

Extreme Horse Skijoring

Now in its 7th season, Horse Skijoring returns to Canterbury Park for an action-packed spectacle! Watch as teams of horses and riders race down a snowy track, pulling skiers through challenging courses filled with gates, obstacles, and jumps. Don’t miss the thrilling freestyle tricks as competitors from across the country vie for prizes and glory!
Beyond the main event, enjoy a variety of winter fun for everyone! Roast s'mores by cozy bonfires, explore an extensive vendor market, indulge in specialty cocktails, and discover even more seasonal delights, right here at Canterbury Park!

Deer Camp for Her – A Sip and Shop Weekend at Winehaven!

While the hunters are away… it’s time to sip and shop! Join us at Winehaven on Saturday, November 8 (10am–5pm) and Sunday, November 9 (11am–5pm) for a fun-filled weekend featuring:

  • Samples of Winehaven’s newest wines from the 2025 harvest
  • Delicious eats from The BBQ Junkies Food Truck
  • A fantastic lineup of clothing, jewelry, and craft vendors!

Bundled Up! Winter Fun Day

The St. Louis Park Rotary Club, in partnership with the City of St. Louis Park, is pleased to present the Bundled Up! Winter Fun Day.

Activities include (subject to change): horse-drawn hay rides, sledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, music, bonfires, hot cocoa, and s’mores. Plus, appearances from vendors and Westwood Hills Nature Center animals. Free fun for all ages!

A family friendly raffle will be held. 

Back to Hack 2026

Back to Hack is the Hackensack winter festival. Back to Hack celebrates winter with activities including: Medallion Hunt, Family Fishing Contest, Frostbite Ur Fanny 2.5 Mile Run/Walk, Bonfire, and Fireworks over Birch Lake. We have a raffle with the chance at a variety of cash prizes.

National Ruby-Throated Hummingbird Center

Nature Center with exhibits, videos, children's activities, gift shop, flower gardens, Hummingbird feeders and other bird feeders, information and more.
Open weekends and Tuesdays during the summer, weekends only from October to May. Open by appointment for groups and tours all year long.
