Wilderness Inquiry

Wilderness Inquiry is a Bloomington based non-profit organization that leads fully guided outdoor adventures including canoeing, kayaking, hiking, camping, dog sledding, and more, for people of all ages, skill levels, and abilities. Take part in Twin Cities area day trips on the Mississippi River and Chain of Lakes; overnight trips in the Boundary Waters, Voyageurs National Park, and other exciting areas in and around Minnesota. Guides, equipment, and food provided. Transportation can be added.

Wilderness Bay Resort

Wilderness Bay is nestled along 1700 feet on a secluded bay on Little Mantrap Lake... only five minutes from the trails of Itasca State Park! The lake is very clear, with many bays and points to explore. A variety of good fishing, swimming and boating experiences await the entire family. The cabins are comfortable, clean, and fitted with screen porches, fire rings, BBQs and a view of the lake. You can partake of a variety of amenities, activities and area attractions, or just hang out at the swimming beach and read a novel.

Wilderness Bay Lodge

Private housekeeping cabins in a secluded bay on Snowbank Lake, directly adjoining the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Accessible only by water. Wilderness Bay Lodge is a small, family resort offering solitude and unstructured days. There are no nearby developments-only nine Wilderness Bay cabins on its half-mile of scenic shoreline.

Very nice single level motel clean and friendly.Vending room with pop and candy, ice machine and coin operated laundry. Each room comes with microwave and fridge, cable TV and daily maid service, wireless internet. On weekends we have coffee, rolls and juice.Small park across the street restaurant within 1 block.

On Mississippi. 68 sites, primitive & electrical. Fishing pier & boat ramp to Mississippi. Sandy beach, central shower house, picnic tables, fire rings & picnic shelters. Riverfront sites, sanitary station, firewood & ice. Seasonal & monthly sites. Open May thru September. In Historic Bluff Country, 7 miles S of Hwy. 16 on Hwy 26 at Brownsville.

Wild Woods Waterpark & Buddy's Family Fun Zone

Wild Woods Waterpark A must stop for family and group travel, the Wild Woods Waterpark this is FUN on an a Tsunami scale! Imagine the adrenaline rush when shooting down a towering 4 story water slide! If tranquil is more your style, grab a tube for a float on the Lazy River. There is also a zero-depth slide and activities for toddlers to enjoy.

The park celebrates a Mississippi River theme and features the Dockside Pub & Grub Concession for Burgers, Pizza, Dip-N-Dots and other favorites.

Birthday party packages are available and private events are possible.

We are a pet and family friendly resort with 5 cabins and 24 seasonal rv sites with a few daily camping sites as well.

Wild State Cider

Wild State Cider produces craft cider from fresh pressed apples, with no added sugar, no chemical preservatives, and no compromises. The cidery is bright and welcoming, with Duluth's largest living wall featuring 200 live plants. There are 10+ ciders on tap, non-alcoholic options, and cheese plates and light snacks made in house.

Wild River State Park

The beautiful St Croix River is one of the eight original National Wild and Scenic Rivers. Eagles, woodcock, ruffed grouse, bluebirds, beaver and otter are just a few of the species that abound in the park. The visitor center highlights the natural resources and cultural history of the area. An all-season trail center is the focal point for the park's 35 mile trail system. Semi modern and rustic camping available. Naturalist programs available year-round. Day visitors can enjoy a leisurely paddle down the St. Croix River from the Sunrise river access to the southern park river access.
