First City of Lights

Usher in the holiday season in a grand way. the First City of Lights Night We Light Celebration has been known to draw large crowds to our history downtown. Take in the sights and sounds of the holiday season and see some spectacular floats illuminated to showcase why Bemidji is Christmas City. The Parade travels going East on 8th Street, turning South on Beltrami Ave. to 3rd Street where it will travel West and end at Irvine Ave. Following the parade make your way down to Paul Bunyan Park for the Night We Light Ceremony.

RideMN1 - Minnesota's Only State Crossing

Minnesota's only State Crossing - this year's route will follow MN Highway #1 (Minnesota's longest) from beginning (Oslo) to end (Silver Bay), about 350 miles. This is an outstanding route - we will bike through 3 National Forests, 2 Native Nations, and several State Forests. We will layover in Ely where you will have the opportunity to visit the International Wolf Center and the North American Bear Center. Our last day will be the unbelievable descent to Lake Superior - Bring Your Camera!

Art Attack! at the Northrup King Building

Trunk or Treat

Dress up in your favorite costume for Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. A free community event for all ages featuring free treats, fire trucks and polices vehicles, and costume contests at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.!This event will take place in vacant grass lot on Weaver Lake Road & Main Street in front of Lifetime (12500 82nd Ave N., Maple Grove, MN 55369). Parking available in the ramp of the Maple Grove Library.

Bloomington Indoor Farmers Market

The Bloomington Farmers Market moves indoors with four dates from November through March. Stock up on winter produce like squash and apples, seasonal decor, honey, baked goods, canned goods, locally-made crafts, and other farmers market favorites at Bloomington Civic Plaza.
