World Snow Celebration

Teams from around the world will travel to Stillwater, Minnesota to create amazing snow sculptures while competing for prize money and the title of the World Champion.

The World Snow Celebration is held annually near downtown Stillwater. At the heart of the celebration is the World Snow Sculpting Championship, which showcases international snow sculpting talent while offering live entertainment, family activities and regional food and beverage experiences. The festival has become a signature celebration of winter artistry and community spirit in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Ice Festival

Get ready for an unforgettable winter experience as The 2025 Minnesota Ice Festival will open to the public at Viking Lakes in Eagan on January 10, 2025, and will run through February 16, 2025. No matter the day or time, guests will immerse themselves in the ultimate, frosty wonderland. At the centerpiece will be the world’s largest ice maze ever constructed, aiming for a Guinness World Record.

Erickson Acres Carriage Company LLC is now scheduling hour-long carriage rides in Hutchinson, MN and nearby areas to add a touch of yesteryear to weddings, family reunions, anniversary celebrations, family picnics, special dates, or just for something fun to do!

Wolf Family Rendezvous

Bring the whole family together for a fun-filled, wolf-themed weekend! Enjoy private lessons on wolf ecology and guided hikes through the beautiful Superior National Forest. Participate in wolf-themed activities and observe our ambassador wolves in action. Then, attend our What’s for Dinner? program to observe our wolves feeding before you spend the night in the auditorium.

Activities and learning will take place both indoors and outdoors. Please be prepared with appropriate clothing for both.

Wintercade Veterans Appreciation Ice Fishing Contest

Wintercade Veterans Appreciation Ice Fishing Contest is a fun, family friendly ice fishing adventure that raises funds for area non-profit, and Veteran groups. Each year, Wintercade is held on the 2nd Saturday in February, on Lake Ripley in Litchfield, MN. The $20 raffle ticket enters you to win many cash prizes, as well as a new custom built 6' x 12' fish house! For those in attendance, we give out door prizes every 5 minutes. Valued at over $7,000, you could win a weekend chartered fishing package on the Lake of the Woods, overnight gambling packages, and much more!

58th Annual Fish Derby

The Snake River Valley Conservation Club will host the 59th Annual Fish Derby on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. The event takes place on the north end of Pokegama Lake in Pine City, MN. (In case of snow storm, contest may be postponed one week.)

1st & 2nd Prizes will be awarded for: largest bass, largest walleye, largest sunfish, largest northern, largest crappie, and largest perch.

$1.00 entry fee. Donated prizes will be given away through the Derby event including cash prizes!
