X-Cnty Skiing: 11.0 km trackset. 11.0 km skate-ski. Mostly intermediate level trails. Located in Burnsville, E side of Co Rd 11, S of Burnsville Pkwy. Trail runs through wooded areas with rolling hills. Warming house. Ski rental available. Ranging from beginner to expert. Maps along trail. Also hiking and mountain biking trails in summer.

Terrace Mill Foundation

A welcome stop along the Glacial Ridge Trail, the Historic Terrace Mill area features a 1903 Vintage Flour Mill, Keystone Arch Bridge, Weir Dam, Mill Pond, Log Cabin and a Heritage Cottage. All are set in a picturesque valley along the Chippewa River. The Terrace area if full of history and scenic vistas. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and sit down by the river. Enjoy the sounds of water running over the dam as you relax. A great way to spend some weekend time and for those looking for art, history, culture and scenic landscapes.

Ten Mile Lake Resort & Steakhouse

Temperance River State Park

Temperance River State Park is located in a region famous for its bare rock cliffs along the Lake Superior Shore. The park receives warming breezes off the lake in the winter and cooling breezes in the summer. Attractions include camping adjacent to Lake Superior, views from Carlton Peak and the spectacular geologic formations along the Temperance Gorge. It is managed from Tettegouche State Park. One of the most interesting geologic features in the park is the narrow Temperance River gorge with its many waterfalls. The rapidly flowing river cut deep potholes in and along the riverbed.
