Swan Park - Mississippi Drive

Rapidly becoming known as 'Swan City', Monticello is host to over 1500, once endangered Trumpeter Swans from December thru the end of February. A protected viewing park for the public is located on Mississippi Drive, on the east end of the city.

We are a small quiet campground on the east shore of Swan Lake. We have seasonal camping, and weekly and weekend camping for RV's and tents. We also have three cabins for rent weekly and daily when available.

Svenskarnas Dag Girls Choir

The Svenskarnas Dag Girls Choir was organized to preserve and celebrate Swedish heritage and culture through music and song. Started in 1967, the choir has had many opportunities to sing throughout America and in Sweden. The choir is always happy to welcome new girls into membership. The choir performs concerts at churches, retirement homes, Scandinavian Festivals, conventions, etc & Lucia Pageants in December.

On a tour of Surly Brewing Co. our guides will give you the back story of how Surly became Surly while taking you through our brewhouse, fermentation cellar and packaging hall. We’ll wrap-up by pouring you brew samples on our tasting deck into your souvenir tasting glass and then we’ll kick you out so we can go back to brewing beer.
