Some Romantic Evening with Dan & Sandy Adler

Bring your love out to the beautiful, Victorian setting of the Music Factory and enjoy an elegant dinner and dessert followed by a concert of romantic music by Dan and Sandy Adler!

Tickets are $40.00 per person. Event requires pre-registration. There will be no sales at the door. Doors open at 6:30.

The Music Factory is located on the 2nd floor of the historic Old Milk Factory on the Rum River which is a non-handicapped accessible building and there are some stairs to climb.

Shadows at the Crossing: Spirits of Old Traverse des Sioux

Journey back more than 160 years to meet some of the pioneer citizens of Traverse des Sioux. On a lantern-guided walk of the old townsite, meet spirits along the way, telling stories about their lives and experiences at this place.

Meet hotelier Bernard Bornemann, General Henry Sibley, pioneer woman Jennie Pettijohn Tyler, the Presbyterian Church minister, the Reverend Stephen Riggs, and Mary Nancy Winona Wakaŋtaŋkawiŋ Eastman, the Great Spirit Woman.

MSUM Homecoming

Homecoming is a tradition designed to bring current students, alums, and the community together to celebrate MSUM through educational, cultural, social, and recreational events that bring a sense of unity and Dragon Pride to the community.

A Magical Cirque Christmas

This November, MagicSpace Entertainment launches the national tour of A MAGICAL CIRQUE CHRISTMAS, a comedic, musical, and magic-filled holiday experience that makes a perfect date night, fun family adventure, and group outing. The tour will play Mayo Civic Center on Saturday, December 3rd. World-acclaimed performers and cirque artists take audiences back in time, immersing them in the spirit of the season and performing Christmas classics through the decades.

Jerome Kills Small: Origin of Songs

Mr. Kills Small sings traditional, powwow, rabbit, and other songs and tells their meanings and stories of their origins. This presentation has much humor, and a more serious ending with appropriate public encouragement songs and tells the originators of the songs. Jerome sings a very good selection of songs for each dance category and explains the regalia of each type of dance.

He will also be participating in the luminary program later in the evening at 8:00pm. Both events are free and open to the public!

Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration

Pipestone National Monument will celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Saturday, October 8th, with lights, music, traditional dance, and storytelling.

At 3:00 p.m., traditional storyteller and oral historian Jerome Kills Small will give a presentation titled “Origin of Songs” in the visitor center theater. He will sing traditional, powwow, rabbit, and other songs, share their meanings, and tell the stories of their origins. Both kids and adults will love this program. Space is limited, so grab your seat in the visitor center theater around 2:45pm!

Dassel Art Tour

The Dassel Art Tour is a unique event in our area, there are no other art tours within easy access. Our event draws visitors from the region to the local area. It is an opportunity to showcase and highlight our local artists and allows the community to engage with these wonderfully talented people. This year we celebrate with 28 artists, both local and regional found around 8 city locations.
