Pipestone Country Club

The course at the Pipestone Country Club (PCC) offers a great nine hole golf experience. Each hole features large undulating greens, sand traps, and nicely groomed fairways. The fairways can be forgiving, but with a variety of hazards throughout, large trees, and long holes, this course can pose challenges for all skill levels. Pioneer Village

Evansville Historical Foundation's Pioneer Village includes the former Johanson House, an exhibit hall; a one-room country school; a log cabin home; a dugout home; a root cellar; church and church house, and a Town Hall. In addition, the EHF is housed in the former Alf Thompson home. Mr. Thompson, one of many Douglas Cty pioneers and founder of EHF, wanted to recreate a pioneer village--a visual experience of the 19th century--to preserve a part of the past for present and future generations.

Pioneer Resort

The Pioneer is a traditional family fishing resort. Our emphasis is on family togetherness and enjoying the outdoors. Our cabins do not have televisions,telephones nor a swimming pool. We have a nice sandy shallow beach that is safe for children. Our cabins are nicely arranged and not cramped together allowing our guests privacy as they desire. Campbell lake is a small lake; about 500 acres. It has a nice variety of fish and is seldom too rough for fishing. Jet skis and ski boats are rare.
