Pokegama Dam & Rec Area - ACoE

Army Corp of Engineers campground. Pokegama Dam Campground is situated in the heart of northern Minnesota's lake country next to the Mississippi River. Popular activities include boating, fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

The campground, pronounced "po-KEG-uh-muh," offers 19 family sites and one group day-use shelter with electric hookups. Two primitive tent-only sites are also available. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, boat ramp and playground.

Plummer House

The Plummer House is an English Tudor Mansion and the former home of Henry S. Plummer, who was a member of the Mayo Clinic Staff starting in 1901. The house is 5 stories high, contains 49 rooms, and occupies 11 acres which include beautiful gardens and a water tower.
