Temperance River State Park

Temperance River State Park is located in a region famous for its bare rock cliffs along the Lake Superior Shore. The park receives warming breezes off the lake in the winter and cooling breezes in the summer. Attractions include camping adjacent to Lake Superior, views from Carlton Peak and the spectacular geologic formations along the Temperance Gorge. It is managed from Tettegouche State Park. One of the most interesting geologic features in the park is the narrow Temperance River gorge with its many waterfalls. The rapidly flowing river cut deep potholes in and along the riverbed.

Teatro del Pueblo promotes Latinx culture through the creation and presentation of performing arts. Teatro develops and supports Latinx artists, provides educational opportunities for all to experience Latinx culture, and promotes cross-cultural dialogue.

Our Beer
Tanzenwald serves an eclectic list of beer styles in their taproom including growlers for off-site consumption, and distributes kegs locally. The Head Brewer, Steve Pittman, has spent many years developing his own recipes, which feature bold, hop-forward IPAs; clean, easy-drinking pale ales and pilsners; and unique barrel-aged and sour beers.

Taylors Falls Canoe & Kayak Rental

The St. Croix River is one of the cleanest and healthiest river systems in the United States. It flows through some of the most scenic and undeveloped country in the Midwest, which makes it a favorite recreational river for young and old alike.

Be sure to watch for wildlife along your float. Thousands of birds migrate up and down the river every year using the backwaters for shelter and feeding. Keep an eye out for beaver, otters, white-tailed deer, and even bald eagles along your canoe/kayak trek. In fact, 75% of the time people will witness at least one Bald Eagle.
