Mother's Day Brunch Cruise

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a one-of-a-kind brunch cruise on Lake Superior. Step aboard the Vista Star and take in stunning views of Duluth’s skyline and harbor activity, all while enjoying a delicious brunch buffet catered by Blackwoods Catering.

Brunch menu includes baked ham, baked chicken, scrambled eggs, cheesy hashbrowns, french toast with warm maple syrup, fruit compote, whipped topping and fresh fruit.

Memorial Day at the Fort

Join us for Memorial Day to learn about the expansive military history at Historic Fort Snelling.

The historic fort will be open to explore at your own pace in addition to special events specifically for the holiday. There will be a flag ceremony, cannon firing, swing band performances, a period speech from World War II and a performance by the Fife & Drum Corps. Visitors can also witness the firing of historic rifles from five different eras of the fort’s history.

The Brooklyn Big Band will be performing at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm inside the historic fort.

Janis Siegel (of Manhattan Transfer)

Over the past five decades, the voice of Janis Siegel has been an undeniable force in The Manhattan Transfer’s musical catalogue. To that end, Siegel is a ten-time Grammy winner and eighteen-time nominee. Alongside her career as a founding member of this musical institution, Siegel has also sustained a solo career. Here, she has released almost a dozen finely crafted solo albums and numerous collaborative projects. Thus, she has amassed a large international fan base, garnering high critical praise.

Intro to Wet Felting Class

Get your hands on some wool as we learn the ancient and magical technique of wet felting! In this workshop, students will be learning the basics of felting while playing with color, texture, and composition to create a piece of wet felted fabric. No previous experience necessary. Please note: This is a pretty physical process, students must be able to stand for the majority of the workshop and move arms pretty rigorously. Instructed by Andy Jacobs of Andy Jacobs Art.
